Pakistan's senior national cricket team suffered a 78-run defeat at the hands of New Zealand in match 1 of the Pakistan ODI Tri-series 2025 at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore on Saturday, 8 February 2025. (Highlights | More Cricket News)

An unbeaten century from Glenn Phillips (106 not out off 74 balls) and an 84-ball 81 from Daryl Mitchell helped the Kiwis set a 331-run target, and Mitchell Santner, Matt Henry then claimed three wickets apiece to help bowl the hosts out for 252. Phillips was named Player of the Match for his swashbuckling hundred, which included six fours and seven sixes.

The BlackCaps next face South Africa on Monday (Feb 10) at the same venue, while Pakistan's next match is against the Proteas in Karachi on Feb 12.
